Abin P George
Ph.D Student
In 2019, I joined the lab as a project student and later transitioned to a PhD program in January 2020. I come from Wayanad, a region known as the "Land of Paddy" in Kerala. Prior to my current position, I completed a 5-year Integrated MSc in Molecular Biology at Yuvaraja's College, University of Mysore.
My research primarily focuses on studying plants under stress, particularly at the root tip, with a specific interest in exploring the response of Jacalin Related Lectins to biotic stresses.
Apart from my academic pursuits, I find joy in playing football and staying active on the field. During my free time, I indulge in reading intriguing books and watching thought-provoking movies. I also have an adventurous spirit, which leads me to explore new places and savor diverse cuisines in and around Tirupati. And, to top it all off, I have a profound love for chai.
